Watsky Kicks Off 'Welcome To The Family' Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Watsky is thrilled to kick off his Welcome To The Family Tour tonight, September 25th in Albuquerque, NM. The tour, which sees Watsky headlining all across North America through early November, is on sale now, and while most VIP tickets have sold out fans can see remaining VIP & tickets for all shows at georgewatsky.com/tour/. Support for the tour comes from feed the biirds (Kush Mody & Camila Recchio) & Chukwudi Hodge, all longtime Watsky collaborators.

The live shows coincide with the release of two brand new singles and Watsky's first new music in two years - "Welcome To The Family" and "All Like Whatever." "Welcome To The Family," which dropped in August, saw quick support from Spotify's New Music Friday & Viral Hits and its video counterpart, directed by Andrew Winghart, has climbed to nearly 1 million views on YouTube since. "All Like Whatever" followed in mid-September alongside another video, a strange and delightful modern love story directed by Jackson Adams. Its lyric video counterpart was featured on the Rap Nation playlist and both songs are set to make an appearance on Watsky's forthcoming fifth studio album.

George Watsky began his career as a young poet and musician in San Francisco when he won the Brave New Voices National Poetry Slam in 2006. The win would propel him to amass several other awards as a slam poet, be filmed for the sixth and final season of Def Poetry on HBO and receive Robert Redford's Sundance Summit Award for poetry on Climate Change all within a year. After his fast-rapping went viral in 2011, Watsky was thrust into the national spotlight and since then has released four studio albums (Watsky, Cardboard Castles, All You Can Do, x Infinity) and in 2016, released his debut essay collection How To Ruin Everything, which went onto become a New York Times Bestseller.

Watsky has appeared on the NAACP Image Awards, The Kennedy Center, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Epic Rap Battles of History, and more while being featured by NPR, XXL and The New York Times Magazine among others. A versatile lyricist, performer, actor, author, and poet, Watsky continues to impress with a bent for balancing intellect and poignance with whimsy and wit.
Be sure to check out "Welcome To The Family" and "All Like Whatever," out now on all DSPs. For all tour dates on the Welcome To The Family Tour, please see below, and for the most up to date information, visit www.georgewatsky.com.
