LOS ANGELES (WCI Records) - Victor Sanz has released his new album Hey Country, containing the single and video "Love Won't Let Me." The single was shipped to radio nationwide on February 7, 2005 and is already garnering rave reviews from critics and fellow artists. Noted Country music historian and critic Robert K. Oermann said in Music Row Magazine, "It's a power ballad that starts slowly, but builds to a deliciously melodic chorus. Eminently playable." Jeffrey Steele, recording artist and 2003 Nashville Songwriters Association International Songwriter of the Year Award, who co-wrote the song, said, "I think Victor is a really great new talent. He did a wonderful job with 'Love Won?t Let Me.' It is a very rangy song and he pulled it off well. I am looking forward to hearing great things from him!" Sanz grew up in the small farming town of Wasco, California. The music of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Buck Owens were constants in Sanz's childhood and would later influence his music style. After playing clubs and fairs in support of his first album, Destination Unknown, Sanz has settled into his own at the newly formed independent label West Coast Independent Records. Hey Country is released by the California-based label. "I've been following Victor's career for many years. He's an extremely talented artist and I'm very excited to be working with him," said Scott Hacker, president of WCI Records. "With strong production and writing, the sky?s the limit for this one."
