NASHVILLE, TN. (RowHouse Records) - One Mile South (RowHouse Records) is gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album. This album promises to showcase their vocal harmonies as well as the unique groove and rhythm of their music. The album will hit stores on February 15, 2005.
One Mile South is a combination of three great songwriters who have created a sound that stands out! No cookie cutter music here. They are a groove based Country trio with as strong a presence acoustically as with full back up. With strong support from Country stations nationwide, they are destined to take their place amongst the great singer/songwriters of our time," says Abby Montgomery, President - RowHouse Records.
One Mile South is Tim Schneider, Gary Bunning and Daniel Palasset-Mouledous. Lead singer, Tim Schneider hails from Portland, Oregon. His rich baritone voice has been compared to such legends as James Taylor and Kenny Rogers. He has won numerous awards for his songwriting, including Song of the Year on an independent label by the European Country Music Awards (ECMAs) for his song "Me, the Moon, and the Radio." Rhythm guitarist, Gary Bunning, is also from the Pacific Northwest, Seattle, Washington.
The son of a "Word Music" recording artist and graduate of the Guitar and Vocal Institute in Hollywood, CA, Gary has shared the stage with the likes of Shenandoah and Exile. Bass guitarist, Daniel Palasset-Mouledous, is a native of Dallas, Texas. Raised in a musical family of concert pianists, Daniel has been gifted with an instinctive musical style that adds a meaty backbone to the groove. Daniel has opened for the likes of Ricochet and Toby Keith.
After arriving in Nashville, each independently began performing in the local songwriter rounds. They soon realized that writing together produced a unique sound and thus formed their group One Mile South. Having performed last summer (2004) on the main stage in Wisconsin at Country Thunder, USA, One Mile South has established themselves as a new sound for Country music lovers everywhere.
Their current single, "Make Something of It," is moving up the Music Row Chart and is currently No. 48. For more information on One Mile South, visit www.onemilesouthcd.com
