NASHVILLE, (BNA Records) - With 310,655 copies sold of Be As You Are: Songs From An Old Blue Chair, Kenny Chesney debuts at Number One on Billboard's Top 200 and Country Album Charts. An album with no radio singles, Be As You Are marks the third time in a row that he has achieved that chart feat, following the success of his now quadruple Platinum No Shoes No Shirt No Problems and the current When The Sun Goes Down which has been certified Triple Platinum and counting.

Continuing to make history, Be As You Are debuts at Number One on the Digital Album Chart, making it the highest ever debut for a country album. Additionally, he debuts at Number One on the Internet Chart.

On the accomplishments, RCA Label Group Chairman Joe Galante said, 'This is a history making event. To debut No 1 in both charts without a single is a new level of success for any act. It has been a team effort from his management and all the folks at BNA Records and RLG and of course his fans.' RLG Executive Vice President Butch Waugh echoes the sentiment saying, 'This huge debut is a testament to Kenny's hard work and his loyal fan base.'

With the Number One Debut, the RCA Label Group-Nashville begins 2005 poised to extend the mammoth success of 2004, during which RLG became the first label group to have 3 country albums reach No 1 (and debut at No 1) on Billboard's pop sales chart in a calendar year. This milestone occurred with the No 1 pop debut of Alan Jackson's What I Do on Arista Nashville, Chesney's When the Sun Goes Down on BNA and Jimmy Buffett's License to Chill on RCA/Mailboat.

RCA Label Group RLG-Nashville is a unit of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, RLG's three country labels are Arista Nashville, BNA Records and RCA Records. Also, under the RCA Label Group umbrella is Christian based Provident Music Group, located in the Nashville area.
