 NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA/ SONY BMG) - The RCA Label Group has secured the services of syndicated radio veteran Maurice Miner. In a newly created independent consulting role with RLG, Miner will work with various departments within all three of the company's labels - Arista Nashville, BNA Records and RCA Nashville. Miner will use his varied media background and unique perspective to create focused imaging for the entire roster of RLG artists. In his new role, he will report to Jon Elliot, Vice President of Marketing and Artist Development, RLG. A 20-year radio veteran, Miner is best known within the country music community for his decade-plus tenure with MJI Broadcasting and Premiere Radio Networks, where his responsibilities included creation and development of the Country Today news and prep service (considered the standard by many in the radio industry), award-winning writing and production of all of the company's country radio specials and oversight of all elements of the company's programming as the exclusive radio partner of the Country Music Association. Miner most recently held the title of Senior Director of Country Programming at Premiere. As a freelance writer, Miner's credits include published profiles and artist bios of such names as Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley and Alabama. A native of Connecticut, Miner currently resides in Nashville.
