KANSAS CITY, MO. (300 KC Jazz Stars .com/ www.300kcjazzstars.com) - A new Internet Jazz Station, featuring only Kansas City jazz artists, was launched today by 300 KC Jazz Stars .com, a Kansas City-area Internet web-casting company.
"If you dig great jazz then it's all about what's coming out of Kansas City today," said George Simms Sol, General Manager at 300 KC Jazz Stars. "And by clicking to our station you'll hear the very best in KC jazz musicianship, 24/7."
The station is the first in the history of broad- or web-casting to dedicate its entire playlist to showcasing only KC jazz stars.

The 2005 CD playlist features such greats as Stan Kessler, Ahmad Alaadeen and the Deans of Swing, Julie Turner and the Tommy Ruskin Trio, Tim Whitmer, the Joe Cartwright Quartet, Artt Frank, Steve Rigazzi, Bukeka Shouls, the Sons of Brasil, the Noel Scott Quartet, Angela Hagenbach, the Bill Crain Quartet, Candace Evans, the Doug Talley Quartet, the Mark Pender Band, Chris Burnett, Bill Laursen and The Kansas City Social Club, and Ida McBeth. The station adds four artists to the playlist bimonthly.

This is also the debut of the station's state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia presentation. The multimedia page content was designed for use with Windows Media Players 9 or 10. Embedded in the player is a 320x240 TV screen web-casting jazz with videos of Kansas City landmarks, jazz performances, or art. Beside the screen are links to the artist's website and e-commerce page.
Beneath the TV is a scroll-down window containing the artist's bio. Adjacent to the bio is a rotating e-magazine banner for sponsors. Finally, a Live KC Jazz Venue ticker and a commercial/public service ticker are embedded at the bottom of the player.

The station provides free 24/7 on-demand audio/video stream for LAN, Cable, and xDSL modems, at https://www.300kcjazzstars.com - and a continuous seven-hour audio/video jazz stream at https://www.300kcjazzstars.com/300kcjazzstars.asx

300 KC Jazz Stars' website is a mirror image of the media player. With the exclusion of the TV screen, the website provides a broader view and easy access to the station's high-quality entertainment, information and shopping content. The website also features a real-time stock ticker for business viewers. This ticker is embedded into all pages at the website.
300 KC Jazz Stars .com is a Kansas City, Mo.-area company specializing in web-casting Kansas City jazz. Clicking to 300 KC Jazz Stars .com is a historically entertaining, informative, and exciting shopping experience.
