NASHVILLE, TN. (Webster PR) - Mark Chesnutt went to Washington D.C. yesterday to pick up the first 'W' Award and he was in good company. In gratitude and appreciation for his contribution and support in performing at various Republication parties and rallies, the Republican Party of Florida recognized Mark in their entertainment category. 'I really felt like royalty,' says Mark, 'but, I also felt humbled to be included in a group of real political leaders! The coolest thing about the 'W' award...is if you take the W and turn it upside down...it's an M!' Making its appearance for the first time, the 'W' award ('W' being symbolic for George 'W' Bush) was presented to select individuals (by the Republican Party) who demonstrated extraordinary ability, patriotism and steadfast leadership throughout the 2004 presidential campaign. Other ambassadors to receive the award during the Sequins and Stars Ball last evening were JC Watts, former Congressman and a House Leadership Member, Senator Mel Martinez, CIA Director Porter Goss, White House Political Director Matt Schlapp, and Astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
