NASHVILLE, TN. (Webster PR) - 2004 ACM Pioneer Award winner and country music legend Ray Price is celebrating his 79th birthday today and wants his fans to know he is alive and well. Though originally thought, Price did not suffer a heart attack this past September. He had one stint put in his heart and is now in great shape. Price is currently completing rehab and has passed all stress tests to date.
Price was on-hand for the Texas Tsunami Benefit this past Sunday in Austin, TX. He was scheduled to perform alongside Willie Nelson and Patty Griffin among others, but due to food poisoning was unable.
According to Price, 'I am in damn good shape. I have missed my fans and can't wait to see them.' Since Price's illness, all of his shows have been sold-out.
Price is getting back into the studio. He is preparing to launch his next single – 'Let's Roll'.
