The Accidentals Sign To Sony Music Masterworks

New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Sony Music Masterworks) Sony Music Masterworks is pleased to announce the signing of alternative folk-rock band The Accidentals. Named one of Yahoo Music's Top 10 Bands to Watch in 2017, the genre-melding indie group will release their major label debut in the spring, supported by a national tour.

The multi-instrumental duo led by Sav Buist and Katie Larson - with touring and studio drummer Michael Dause - has generated significant media and fan buzz for creating a kaleidoscopic, high energy music that blends high-level songcraft with a dazzling, ragged-but-right performance style.

Since 2012, The Accidentals have toured ceaselessly from coast to coast, sharing stages with Martin Sexton, Brandi Carlile, Andrew Bird, Rusted Root, The Wailers, Carbon Leaf, Keller Williams, Joan Baez, and others.

The band's forthcoming album was recorded with engineer and co-producer Jason Lehning (Mat Kearney, Guster, George Jones, Alison Krauss, Aubrie Sellers) with guest appearances by The Decemberists' Jenny Conlee; Jack White's bassist Dominic John Davis; singer-songwriter Keller Williams; and percussive guitar virtuoso Kaki King.

The Accidentals chose Sony Music Masterworks for worldwide distribution of the new album, in part, due to "the longevity of Masterworks' artists as career musicians" and the label's ability "to support the bands' diversity as composers, arrangers, producers and authors."
