Cody Jinks To Release "I'm Not The Devil" On August 12, 2016; First Single Premieres Via Rolling Stone Country
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Cody Jinks will release his new album Im Not The Devil on August 12th via Cody Jinks Music/Thirty Tigers. The 13-song set was produced by Joshua Thompson at Sonic Ranch Studios in Tornillo, TX and mixed by Ryan Hewitt (Avett Brothers, Lumineers, Clint Black, Whitey Morgan). Rolling Stone Country premiered the title track and first single from Im Not The Devil. The song Im Not The Devil will be available as a digital single beginning this Friday and the physical CD is available now for pre-order on iTunes July 8th.

Jinks credible grit and meaningful tattoos are no fad. They define exactly who he really is: someone who was raised on the sounds of country music and metal. Merle Haggard and Metallica were the kings. They set the tone for me and I spent a good part of my youth wanting to be James Hetfield. Ultimately Jinks found himself back to where it all began. My dad loved the outlaw country icons, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and The Hag. That never ending consistency of incredible music growing up laid some very deep seeds. Those early influences shine through on Im Not The Devil as one of Jinks favorite songs on the album is a cover of the Merle Haggard classic The Way I Am. I love that song. I wrapped it up just before Merle died. The song always resonated with me, he says. Country music found me when I was young and chased me down as I grew older.

Jinks latest record is his deepest, darkest and most provocative album to date, with a metal common denominator, the apocalypse, running throughout the record. Its a pretty scary time, Jinks says. There are some evil people running things in the world.

Jinks has independently built an extremely rabid and loyal fanbase with consistently sold out shows. Its all about the music and the fans, who are the fuel that drives him. They come out night after night giving up hard earned money and precious time to see me play, Jinks says. It truly is amazing when you really think about it. The best way I can say thanks is by giving back with effort and gratitude. Jinks has announced the first live dates in support of Im Not The Devil, launching August 5th in Oklahoma City with Whitey Morgan.
