NASHVILLE, TN. (Word Entertainment) - Country music legend Randy Travis recently garnered a GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album with Worship & Faith [Word Records]. A dominant force in music, Travis won a GRAMMY award earlier this year for Rise & Shine in the same category. The album produced the hit single, "Three Wooden Crosses," which became the 22nd #1 hit of Randy's career. He was also recently honored with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame for his career accomplishments. In addition, Travis is the first country artist to break the multi-platinum sales barrier, selling more than 21 million albums in his career. He has also received four GRAMMYs, five Country Music Association Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards, and 10 American Music Awards. Travis also now heralds three Dove Awards, the Gospel Music Association's highest honor and recently released his 16th studio album Passing Through on November 9, as a follow-up to his highly successful Word/Warner Bros.
