ALTON, IL. (MW Productions/Records/ www.mwproductions.com) - MW Productions recently released Lori Franke's solo debut CD 'Sometimes' with positive support from local audiences. Having already sold approximately 900 CDs since the release a month ago, Franke is happy her work is being received with such enthusiasm. 'It's exciting to know that people enjoy something you produce from the heart,' said Franke. 'This CD has been a work of love, and I can't wait to get started on the next one.'
Hits 'Baby Wake Up' and 'If Love Doesn't Matter' highlight the debut, but for Franke the fact that her dream is a reality is the most important thing. 'I worked at this for quite a while,' said Franke. 'The gang at MW was a great help – their encouragement really kept pushing me.'
Franke, a former United States
Marine Corps MP at the
Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, South Carolina, hopes to follow in the footsteps of Pocahontas, Illinois resident
Gretchen Wilson who is now a huge country success. 'Her (Wilson's) success is really wonderful,' said Franke. 'It sounds like she went through some tough times growing up, as did we all, so maybe that can be part of the formula for success. I just hope people continue to enjoy my voice as much as they enjoy hers!'
The album is available online at
https://www.mwproductions.com and at several local distribution points including the SIUE bookstore, the Hardin Quick Shop, Hardin, IL and Cheney's in Shipman, IL.
