NASHVILLE, TN. (Capitol Records) - Country music star, Trace Adkins and wife, Rhonda received an early Christmas present today with the birth of their new baby girl. Trinity Lee Adkins was born at a Nashville hospital at 12:52 p.m., weighing in at 5 lbs 9oz. This is the couple's third daughter - but its girl #5 for Trace, who has two teenage daughters from a previous marriage. Adkins currently is sitting at a highly seasoned point in his career. Within the past 15 months alone, he's had three Gold albums back-to-back (two are headed to Platinum status) and four big hit singles. And while performing concerts for sell-out crowds much of the year takes him away from home more than he'd like, he takes his fatherhood very seriously.
"My children give me purpose and they make me want to be a better human being," says Adkins. "While it seems like it's a job that has no end, it's one of the most joyous elements to life." Trace Adkins has been putting finishing touches on his seventh album for Capitol Records/Nashville. The yet-to-be titled project is scheduled for release in Spring 2005. The first single is called "Songs About Me" and hits Country radio December 13th.
