 DENTON, TX. (Top40 Charts) - Country-western singer Lynn Anderson was arrested early Thursday by Denton police on suspicion of drunken driving. She is best known for her Grammy-winning hit 'Rose Garden' in the 1971. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the 57-year-old country crooner remained in jail Thursday afternoon with bail set at $1,000.
Lynn Anderson (Taos, N.M. resident), was arrested about 7 a.m. after a caller reported a drunken driver weaving south on Interstate 35W at Denton, North of Dallas - said the police. Lynn Anderson eventually pulled over and stopped along the highway. Officers conducted a fieldsobriety test and then arrested her on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
