NEW YORK (Park Avenue Chamber Symphony/ www.chambersymphony.com) - The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, the renowned cultural and philanthropic organization of conservatory-trained New York business professionals, will be making its Carnegie Hall Debut on January 19th, 2005 at 8 PM.
The program will include works by Verdi, Sibelius and Brahms, and features 13-year-old Jourdan Urbach, a student at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division, as soloist. All proceeds from this concert will benefit the

"Our members bring the dedication, resourcefulness and focus that has made them so successful in their careers to performing music with fantastic results. Our performance at Carnegie Hall is our crowning achievement in our fifth anniversary year," says Bernard. PACS's 2004-5 season includes performances at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Carnegie Hall.
Park Avenue Chamber Symphony (PACS) members combine successful business careers with considerable accomplishment in music. Members of the orchestra include investment bankers from Goldman Sachs, Fortress Investment Group, JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and RG Niederhoffer Capital Management, as well as business executives with the Associated Press, AllianceCapital, American Express, Bank of America, BMG Records, Cyan Pictures, DB Marketing Technologies, McKinsey & Company, the operations department of the New York Philharmonic, the New York Times, Pfizer, Reader's Digest, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Other members are judicial law clerks and attorneys from Paul, Weiss, Wharton & Garrison; Tannenbaum Helperin; and Cowan DeBaets, while others are officials in City and State government agencies and the United Nations.
The Park Avenue Chamber Symphony has raised more than $250,000 for New York arts and public service organizations such as The Trickle Up Program, The Lucy Moses School, The Concert Artists Guild and The Juilliard School Pre-College Division.
