Downtown Music Publishing Signs Agreement With BoDeans
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Downtown Music Publishing (Downtown) has announced a worldwide publishing agreement with BoDeans. The agreement covers the bulk of BoDeans' catalog beginning with their third album, 1989's Home, including their hit song "Closer to Free" which was the theme to the 90's television series Party of Five.

Fronted by Kurt Neumann, BoDeans got their start in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1983 and over the course of their decades-long career have released 12 studio albums with over 2 million in sales worldwide. Among their many charted hits and cult classics are songs such as "Good Things," "You Don't Get Much," "Idaho," "If It Makes You," "Stay," "American," "Roll With the Punches," and "All the World."They continue to be touring mainstays and through the years have shared stages with such legendary artists as U2, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, The Pretenders, and David Bowie. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has BoDeans permanently displayed as part of their Midwest Artists exhibit.

"BoDeans are an American rock and roll institution," said Downtown's Executive Vice President, Jedd Katrancha. "We're thrilled to have the opportunity to work for them and sing their praises while they continue to tour the land, writing great songs all the while."

BoDeans join Downtown's acclaimed roster of Americana songwriters including Sturgill Simpson, Rosanne Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Loudon Wainwright III. They are currently on tour in support of their new album I Can't Stop.
