New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jessica Cash, one of the top radio personalities in country music and co-host of 93.3 WFLS's "Steve and Jessica's" morning show, will be the MC for "District Country" at the
National Press Club, the station announced today. The concert will take place Saturday night, Feb. 21. WFLS, a top country music station serving the DC area, has signed on to be the media partner for District Country.
"District Country", a first-ever night of live country music in the
National Press Club ballroom, features some of country music's hottest acts today—including Love and Theft, The
Cadillac Three, and Trailer Choir. Love and Theft, best known for their #1 single "
Angel Eyes", has their third album out, "Whiskey On My Breath", on February 10th. The
Cadillac Three, best known for singles "Party Like You" and "The South", is one of country music's hottest upcoming acts. With a southern rock edge reminiscent of both
Lynyrd Skynyrd and
Waylon Jennings, this band will be sure to impress as well.
Trailer Choir and Tom Dixon are also set to perform, both as openers for the main show, and during the acoustic pre-show in the First Amendment Lounge overlooking downtown Washington DC.
Cash, with nearly 30 years of radio experience, is among the area's most recognized radio talent. Cash has worked in some of the nation's top markets for radio, including Denver, Charleston, and New York. Formerly a morning talent with 98.7 WMZQ and Big 100.3 in Washington DC, Cash now co-hosts the Steve and
Jessica morning show on 93.3 WFLS, serving Fredericksburg, VA and the DC area.
