NASHVILLE, TN. (Webster PR) - Nashville, TN - Widely regarded for their powerful vocal harmonies and outstanding musicianship, RICOCHET will perform at this year's Christian Country
Music Awards Show. Band members, Heath Wright, Greg Cook, Shannon Farmer, Dwayne Dupuy and Marty Mitchell will make their appearance for the first time on the 10th Annual CCMA Awards Show scheduled to be held
Thursday evening, November 4, and will introduce their new single 'That's Love' from their current project — THE LIVE ALBUM on Cowtown Records.
Lead singer Heath Wright makes the official introduction: 'For the first time in Ricochet's career, I feel like we have recorded a song that says what we have wanted to say about life and love.
'That's Love' is a song that is absolutely symbolic of the kind of love that is pure and unconditional - the kind of love a mother feels for her child - the kind of love sole mates and life partners feel for each other, even after many years together. But more importantly, this song describes in just two lines how our Lord, Jesus Christ, loved and still loves us - so much so that he gave his life for our sins. We as a group are thrilled in the opportunity to share the message of this song with the Christian Country Music Audience and GAC viewers.'
Ricochet's Marty Mitchell (drummer) adds, 'It's been a moving experience to be a part of a song that immediately touches people so deeply. From the very first time we performed 'That's Love' live, it became evident just by people's expressions that this song carries a message that everyone can relate to. We played this song for the folks at the CCMA one morning—after a long road trip back with only four hours of sleep—and we are so excited that this song made a large enough impression to receive the invitation to perform it as part of their 10th anniversary show.'- Drummer, Marty Mitchell
Country Music Legend John Conlee, best known for hits such as 'Rose Colored Glasses' and 'Backside of Thirty' will be on hand to present the award for Mainstream Country Artist of the Year. Conlee's soon-to-be-released album is entitled Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus. 'They Also Serve', the tune that reminds us all of the support troops receive from their loved ones is the upcoming single from Conlee. The accompanying music video for 'They Also Serve' is currently in production and will be Conlee's first music video in nearly twenty years.
Also invited to participate in the biggest night of Christian Country Music, Sony recording artist, Brad Cotter, will make his debut CCMA appearance as presenter.
The CCMA Awards show will be televised live on GAC (7:00PM CST). Tickets to the Christian Country Music Awards Show are available at ticketmaster.com, ccma.cc or call ticketmaster at 615-255-9600.
