HABNFORD, CA. (www.brandonsilveira.com) -
Brandon Silveira, a real farmer singing real country from Hanford, California will release his new single from his current CD "That Boy Ain't Right" on November 1.
The song, titled "Heaven Needs Angels" was written by
Brandon after friends of his family lost their 5 year old daughter in a boating accident a couple of years ago. This year, the song won the third place in Billboard's World song contest. "Brandon dishes out a dose of Allen, Garth, and
Joe Diffie but manages to deliver his own vocal signature on his performance." Robert K. Oermann of
Music Row Magazine writes.
Brandon Silveira grew up listening to Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Hank Williams, good old fashioned country music. He never pursued a singing career in high school or college, even though he was often told by his friends that he had a good voice and should join a band. His decision to move to Nashville came when a friend dared him to audition for the Nashville Star Show, which would be aired live on USA Network.
The rest, as they say, is history. Brandon has opened for several country stars such as Lonestar, Joe Nichols and Trace Adkins, Buddy Jewel, the winner of NS, SHeDAISY and several others. He has done several concerts throughout the US from New York City to Las Vegas.
"Brandon Silveira is himself, plain and simple," Rikk Matheson of RikksRevues.com writes. "He professes to claim The Judds and rock act Sublime as influences and his look shows the 'Sublime' reference. His voice is pure California country. Think Dwight Yoakam and the man who made 'Act Naturally' a hit, Buck Owens. He does the song well and really did well with it live. He has talent even if it is 'outside the box.'
The single "Heaven Needs Angels" will be released on November 1. Brandon's current CD "That Boy Ain't Right" is available at BrandonSilveira.com.
