On Sept 25, 1980 a full page ad ran in the Chicago Tribune newspaper heralding the mail order only sale of four shows by Led Zeppelin at the now demolished Chicago Stadium.

Tragically, this ad ran on the same day that we heard that John Bonham, one of the greatest rock 'n roll drummers of all time, had succumbed to suffocating on his own vomit in a drunken stupor and passed away.

Because the tickets to the four Chicago Stadium shows had already been printed and were not computer generated, when the band officially disbanded on Dec 4, 1980, the monies sent in were returned and Metro Pulse Inc, purchased the entire ticket inventory and rights to the newspaper ad from Chicago Stadium Corp in 1986.
