Steve Reich & Stephen Sondheim To Be Featured In Conversation For Lincoln Center's American Songbook
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Steve Reich and Stephen Sondheim will be featured in Lincoln Center's just-announced 2015 American Songbook series. The two composers will take part in an evening of conversation, moderated by WNYC's John Schaefer, in The Appel Room, beautifully situated above New York's Columbus Circle and Central Park, on January 31. This special occasion marks the first the time the two will have appeared together on stage. The evening also includes performances of several of their seminal works by Paul Gemignani, George Lee Andrews, Kate Baldwin, Michael Cerveris, Ensemble Signal, Alexander Gemignani, and Derek Johnson.

Tickets go on sale for the American Songbook series on Monday, November 17. For additional details on this and all of the events in the series, visit americansongbook.org.

Steve Reich has released more than twenty recordings on Nonesuch Records since the release of The Desert Music in 1985.
His latest album, Radio Rewrite, released just last month, features the first recording of the 2012 title piece, which references two songs by Radiohead.
Nonesuch has released several Broadway cast recordings of works by Stephen Sondheim, including Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Company, and, most recently, A Little Night Music.
