NASHVILLE, TN. (Sony Music Nashville) - Columbia Records recording artist Trent Willmon will release his much anticipated self-titled debut album on October 12. His initial release, "Beer Man," had chart success and tagged Willmon as the beer man.
The follow up and current release "Dixie Rose Deluxe's Honky Tonk, Feed Store, Gun Shop, Used Car, Beer, Bait, BBQ, Barber Shop, Laundromat," is a rocker about small-town life and is currently climbing the charts.

Willmon grew up on a cattle ranch in a small west Texas town (pop. 100) just north of Abilene - called Afton. He believes this small town raising is what spurred his creativity - with no television in the house he listened to the radio, played records, read literature, worked the family ranch and went to dances on Saturday nights.
Musician, songwriter, singer, welder, craftsman, rattlesnake wrangler, caterer, horse trainer, team roper - are just some of the diverse array of talents that Willmon possesses.

To promote the release of his album Willmon has been crossing the country on a radio tour towing his hand-welded gun shaped smoker behind his tour bus. He sets up in the radio station parking lot, stokes up the grill, cooks brisket and ribs and then serves the radio station staff along with his personally made barbeque sauce (WUSS and HOSS) and all the fixins'. Then he does what he came for - he plays an acoustic set with their undivided attention.
"I think that Trent Willmon and his new record exemplify everything that is good about country music. He is not just a country singer, he is a poet from west Texas, who is a very important part of the future of country music," said John Grady, president Sony Nashville.

On his CD you'll find his current single "Dixie Rose Deluxe's," the infectious fun of his hit debut single "Beer Man," the soaring, aching chorus of "Every Now and Then," romantic joy in "The Good Life" and dreams that turn to dust in "Population 81."
"Medina Daydreaming" is a wistful nostalgic look at what might have been and the heart wrenching "Home Sweet Holiday Inn" deals with the real-life facts of single parenthood - background vocals by Alison Krauss.
There's not a sleeper on this album. All Willmon's songs tell a story and he delivers in an unapologetic style - you just "get it" with a first listen. The album is produced by Frank Rogers (Brad Paisley/Josh Turner).
Willmon wrote or co-wrote eight of the eleven songs on the disk and also has a cut on the popular Julie Roberts album, "Rain On a Tin Roof."
