Grammy Consideration For Lourdes Duque Baron's Debut Single From Her Second Album "My Spring In Paris"
Studio City, CA. (Top40 Charts) Classic jazz is not unfamiliar to as her first album entitled "Feeling Good At Any Age" contained classic cover songs with a contemporary twist. But her debut singles from her new upcoming EP My Spring In Paris is a first glimpse at her original music talent and is already up for a 2015 Grammy nod. Teaming up again with producer Andrew Lane, who also produced Baron's last album and who also frequently collaborates with jazz music royalty Ron Ellington Shy, Baron winds up with a whimsical yet chic single that recalls the passionate late-night European sophistication of traditional jazz mixed with a contemporary sound. Listen to "My Spring In Paris" below:

"My Spring In Paris" is a song Lane co-wrote a few years back with artist Maya Tremblay and shelved until the right music artist came along to record it. He chose this song for Baron because of "her worldliness and her deep vocal sound." Lane also happened to compose the arrangement. It's not just the sound, it's the emotion and feel of the song…very '60s standards like Frank Sinatra's "We Just Couldn't Say Goodbye" or Burt Bacharach's "Walk on By", classic and romantic jazz songs.

If any music could be called accessible it's this, with its warm intimacy and classic good taste. Baron's look and sound has been referred to as 'timeless.' Her music transports the audience back to those days of smoky, dim lounges where men in debonair suits would hover around women in glistening evening attire, and the clinging of martini glasses was endless. Without a doubt, the Rat Pack era is responsible for some very fine jazz standards. Baron's new single is a masterpiece and could very well prove to be part of Rat Pack for the modern era collection. After all, some things are timeless for a reason; they are so powerful, they already belong to posterity. "My Spring In Paris" is now available on iTunes, Amazon and MTV.

Baron will be performing at the upstairs jazz lounge at Vitello's Restaurant in Studio City on Saturday, December 13, 2014 along with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Ron Ellington Shy.

Lourdes Duque Baron's other projects include her two-bestselling books "Scripted In Heaven" and "I Called Myself Cassandra," as well as her upcoming feature film in development, an adaptation of her book "Scripted In Heaven." Visit the Scripted In Heaven Film Official Website.
