Classic Rock Act Estrella Gains Metal Hammer, Classic Rock Support For Album
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Quite Great PR) Based in Aberdeen and with classic 70s/80s rock influences such as Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Van Halen, AC/DC and Bon Jovi, Estrella are an energetic rock four piece who are planning a busy 2014/2015. Touring Europe later in the year with ex-Guns N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, the band are gearing up to hitting the road in October with a single release that throws back to their debut album - initially released in 2012.

With a second album due in May 2015 and singles from it on the way later this year and early next, Estrella aim to set the scene with 'Whatever It Is' - an impactful, guitar laden screamer of a track about fulfilling what you set out to achieve, born out of the band's desire to do nothing else but make music their career.

You can hear the track here which is released October 13th:

The band - a trio of brothers Paul Gunn (Frontman), Luke Gunn (Lead Guitarist) and Nathan Gunn (Bass) plus Leo McPherson (Drummer) - already have a storied career in music behind them having toured Europe with American rocker and UK chart topper Robin Beck. And it's a mark of their growing stature that they have been selected to tour with Gilby Clarke this November.

It's all thanks to a reputation for putting on an excellent live show, a buzzing, crackling gig that plays on a fictional 'sibling rivalry' between the three brothers and creates a tension which is only released by the heaviness of the music.

They combine this bristling live show with an ultra-professional approach to capturing that energy in their studio recordings, working with some top industry names in order to realise their ambitions. Their debut album 'Come Out to Play' was co-written and produced by John T Sinclair (ex-keyboard player for Uriah Heep, The Cult and the Ozzy Osbourne band). It was engineered by Ashley Howe (Queen, Led Zeppelin) and mastered by Grammy award winning Richard Dodds (Uriah Heep, Freddie Mercury, Green Day).

Their new album - due May 2015 - will be overseen by producer Nick Brine (The Darkness, Bruce Springsteen, Thunder, Oasis) and will also see pre-production and mastering duties taken up by Pete Shoulder (The Union), Luke Morley (Thunder, The Union) and Pete Mayer (Rolling Stones, U2, Killers, Jack White, Katy Perry, The Killers). High calibre names who are extremely picky about who they work with.

It's an approach which has won Estrella many fans, including Classic Rock Magazine and XFM presenters including Tom Russell and noted music tastemaker Jim Gellatly. And with the European tour, three singles and an album due by May next year, you'll be hearing plenty more of them.
