Barr Brothers video for "Half Crazy" premiered today at Spin. It's a richly magnified look at the physicality of making music - tendons and throat muscles flexing, strings and drum heads pulsating in hi-def slow motion. The song is from 'Sleeping Operator,' out Oct 7 on Secret City and was directed by filmmaker and musician Kaveh Nabatian (Bell Orchestre).
The band's exploration of the farthest edges of folk, blues and rhythms inspired from music around the globe on 'Sleeping Operator' is garnering raves: "an immediate joy" (KEXP) that "pushes the limit of folk music" (Paste).
