Roses & Revolution EP Release
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Roses & Revolution official website) "It's hard to deny the bewitching beauty of Roses & Revolutions... there's something sweetly hypnotic about the way it all comes together here... pretty damn irresistible." This is what PopDose had to say about R&R and, by all accounts, it's a frighteningly accurate description.

While Roses and Revolutions is making waves with its rich and often haunting sound, new fans might be surprised to discover that the band is comprised of two enormously talented troubadours. Both hailing from Rochester, NY, Alyssa Coco and Matt Merritt were united by their dreams of making intimate connections with a wide audience through music. Thankfully, their dreams are quickly becoming reality.

Coco, a contestant on Season 7 of American Idol, pleases listeners with her one-of-a-kind voice - silky smooth and highlighted by a soft, subtle twang. Merritt, a highly skilled guitarist and former student of SUNY Purchase for Jazz Guitar Performance, turns each song into a perfectly layered masterpiece. Together, they draw from influences like Patti Griffin, Lana Del Ray, Vanessa Carlton, John Mayer and Jackson Browne, and seamlessly combine elements of pop, folk and country. Their single "Take Me With You" brings to mind The Lumineers, and takes the listener on an enjoyable and evocative musical journey.

Since the release of their debut EP in October of 2012, Roses and Revolution has supported a multitude of artists, including: The Head and The Heart, Sheryl Crow, Wynona Judd and Ingrid Michaelson. They've garnered much praise from industry tastemakers like USA Today, American Songwriter and Kings of A&R. In May of 2014, MTV featured the song "Down" on its show The Challenge. And, their self-titled sophomore EP is available now.

As long as Roses and Revolutions is making music, they'll continue to attract legions of enthusiastic new followers. A delectably dynamic duo with a truly unique sound, their hometown newspaper may have said it best: Roses and Revolutions "is steeped in the florid and the epic, the gentle and the unwavering, the beautiful and the fierce."
