Stix Bones Releases New Single 'Twice As Nice'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Redwood Entertainment) Following his highly successful full-length Smooth Jazz album Groove Like This and the smokin' dance single Steppin in Those Heels, the incomparable Stix Bones will be releasing his much anticipated follow-up single Twice As Nice on May 27. Groove Like This graced the airwaves of more than forty Jazz radio stations in the U.S., Jazz internet and satellite stations across the globe, and charted in the top 10 on the digital Jazz charts while reaching the top 20 Jazz charts in France. Steppin in Those Heels was featured on TV episodes of The Housewives of Miami and Telemundo's ¡Levántate! (Get Up!—recently re-titled Un Nuevo Día (A New Day), and rocked the dance charts and became a frequently requested favorite in dance clubs worldwide. And now his latest original release showcases Smooth Jazz instrumental Twice As Nice (see video trailer below), which true to its title appears 'twice' on the 'single' with both original mix and re-mix. Along with the fluid and infectious grooves and seductive composition, arrangement and production of Stix Bones, Twice As Nice features the popular and ever dynamic Melvin Smith on saxophone and piano sensation Densen Curwen and is sure to be the perfect sound track for those enjoying an intimate encounter—in short, this is an recording made for lovers!

"Stix Bones is an artist/composer that you definitely should keep your eye on. The music on his Groove Like This CD captivates from start to finish. Very impressive!"—J. Anderson, 90.5 WJAB, Huntsville, AL

And what else can one say of Stix Bones? He is not only a great musician/composer/producer/arranger, but a consummate showman and entertainer as well. Hailing from Brooklyn, he received his BA degree in Jazz Performance from Purchase College, State University of New York. It was there that Stix was given the name BONE by his fellow musicians, an acronym for "Brother of Noble Excellence," because of the mutual respect they shared.

Not an artist to sit still for long, Stix, producer for chart topping Jazz artists Matt Marshak and J.J.Sansaverino, is also currently the primary drummer for Derrick N. Ashong & Soulfège, the internationally acclaimed group led by former Fusion TV anchor (ABC News/Univision joint venture news and lifestyle network) and former Oprah Winfrey XM Sirius host Derrick N. Ashong. The group fuses a unique blend of Hip Hop, Reggae, Funk and West African Highlife and Stix appears on their latest critically acclaimed hit CD release, AFropolitan. Stix's musical influences are a mix of Hip Hop and Jazz and he has built a respectable name amongst Jazz & Hip Hop artists while being credited as truly a 'Brother of Noble Excellence.'
