Jazz Singer Kathy Sanborn Goes Latin With New Album Fantasia, Releasing June 3rd
San Francisco, CA (Top40 Charts/ Kathy Sanborn official website) Internationally renowned singer and composer Kathy Sanborn releases her new Latin jazz album, Fantasia, June 3, 2014, available through Amazon, iTunes, Barnes & Noble, and other fine retailers. Packed with songs that showcase Sanborn's trademark velvet voice and sultry style, Fantasia spotlights the many moods of Latin Jazz, from upbeat, bouncy tunes to romantic ballads.

From the South American flavor of "Pensamiento" to the modern jazz feel of the title track, "Fantasia," the common theme of Sanborn's sixth album is Love in its many forms.

According to JazzTimes: "Romance is always in the air as far as Kathy Sanborn is concerned, and her songs are reflections of those emotions which take flight when overpowered by love."

Based in northern California, the American jazz songstress is of Nicaraguan descent. Sanborn's latest album highlights her South American roots and Latin musical sensibilities.

Sanborn's song, "Madre Mundo" (Mother Earth), reflects the current global concern over environmental issues, and is a musical call to respect the earth and to care for our precious resources.

"Viva El Sueño" (Live the Dream) encourages people everywhere to follow their dreams. Sanborn says, "I wrote the song to light a fire under people who have struggled to achieve their dreams. Never quit! That's the message."

Sanborn also sings two songs in English: "Daybreak" and "Woe Be Gone," the latter a new composition that evokes jazz standards of yesteryear.

Spain's NoSoloSmoothJazz.com says: "Kathy Sanborn is one of the most original vocalists in the American musical landscape."

Sanborn's previous albums have reached Amazon's Vocal Jazz Bestseller list, including Sultry Night, Six Degrees of Cool, and Blues for Breakfast.
