Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Announce Summer 2014 Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following the release of their new album, Hypnotic Eye, on July 29th, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are back at it with the announcement of their new tour to launch in August. Steve Winwood will join them on stage throughout the tour as their opening act.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released their debut album in 1976 which sold over 60 million records. In 2002, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have continued to build upon their success. In 2013, they were the headliners for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and 2014 seems to have much more in store for them.

Starting in San Diego on August 2nd, the band will make their way across the nation and into Canada, ending in Los Angeles on October 10th with a total of 28 shows. They will be traveling through 21 cities, including performances in Vancouver, Ontario, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Their performance in Boston will be the first time they perform in Fenway Park for thousands of their fans to watch. They will also be headlining at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco as well as the Lockn' Festival in Virginia.

Fans have been anxiously awaiting the day that the band released their new album since the last time they released any new music was in 2010 with their Mojo album. Four years later, they have their new album release as well as a three month tour to go along with it.
