Patrick Sweany Announces Summer Tour - "Working For You" Video Featured In Esquire
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Missing Piece Group) Last summer, blues-rocker Patrick Sweany released a new album Close To The Floor to critical praise. Writing in the Nashville Scene, Edd Hurt said "Sweany is a modern bluesman with a songwriting knack - a rare combination... [his] sincerity is beautiful and he shouldn't change a thing."

The album is as personal a statement as the roots troubadour has ever made. Inspired by tragedy and frustration, it's a (mostly) gritty look into the mirror for the Akron native who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. The record chronicles Sweany's coping with the premature deaths of two family members, his struggles with perpetual touring, and his battles with the (mostly) ruthless music industry.

Sweany was featured in American Songwriter, CMT Edge, and was even called a "soon-to-be-legendary guitar man" by Rolling Stone following his performance at the Newport Folk Festival last year.

Recently, Esquire premiered the video for his most recent single "Working For You" and said "This is the kind of music Robert Johnson sold his soul for way back when - and Sweany is pouring his into it."

Following a successful European tour, Sweany will once again trek across the United States and Canada this summer for a headlining tour with a full band. Additional dates in June and July will be announced shortly.
