The Best Charts of 2005

Top40-Charts presents the best and worst national charts of 2005 (according to our users votes)

The Worst chart

Belgium, less than 1%
According to Top40 Charts users, 64% of the voters have chosen the Belgian Chart as the worst for the 2005 (last year the percentage for the Greek was 72%). Also the Belgian Chart had the lowest number of positive votes.

We tried to find why people all over the world believe that this chart is the worst for this year. According to the survey, the biggest problem is called 'diversity' (45%) and the second one 'quality' (32%). The chart is dominated by the biggest amount of TV Reality Songs and Pop Star Tracks.
Also, it can't be true that the 84% of the singles are referring to Dance music only or Euro-Pop!! In a country which gave birth to groups such as 'Vaya Con Dios', 'Hooverphonic' or 'The Last Fall' the chart does not represent the reality of the local music scene - not even the global music scene!

According to chart terms, the Belgian Chart is manipulated (by Radio/TV). In the heart of Europe, the Capital Brussels with the famous musicians, everybody demands a chart to be representative for the people and not for the business interests.
