Remember Monday Top Songs

Biography

Remember Monday is a British country-pop trio comprising Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele. Known for their rich harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, the group gained national attention after representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with their song "What the Hell Just Happened?"

The trio met in 2013 while attending Sixth Form College in Farnborough, Hampshire. Initially performing under the name Houston, they later adopted the name Remember Monday, inspired by their routine of rehearsing together on Mondays during free periods.

Each member brought a strong musical background:
- Lauren Byrne had experience in musical theatre, including playing Miss Honey in Matilda.
- Holly-Anne Hull won My Camp Rock in 2009 and performed in productions like The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables.
- Charlotte Steele portrayed Jane Banks in Mary Poppins and later served as deputy head at Artemis College before committing to the band full-time.

In 2019, Remember Monday auditioned for The Voice UK with Seal's "Kiss from a Rose," impressing all four judges. They chose Jennifer Hudson as their mentor, who notably threw a shoe at them - a gesture of high praise. The group advanced to the Knockout stages, performing their original song "Jailbreaker" before exiting the competition.

Post-The Voice, the band focused on developing their sound, blending country and pop influences. In 2023, they released their debut EP Hysterical Women, followed by Crazy Anyway in 2024. Their discography includes singles like "Let Down," "Laugh About It," and a cover of Alanis Morissette's "Hand in My Pocket."

In 2023, the trio made the decision to leave their respective jobs to pursue music full-time, marking a significant turning point in their careers.

In March 2025, the BBC announced Remember Monday as the UK's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. Their song, "What the Hell Just Happened?", co-written with Julie Aagaard, Kes Kamara, Tom Hollings, Sam Brennan, Thomas Stengaard, and produced by Billen Ted, showcased their signature harmonies and genre-blending style.

Performing eighth in the grand final on May 17, they received 88 points from the jury but scored zero points from the public vote, placing 19th overall. Despite the outcome, the song reached number 31 on the UK Singles Chart, marking their first chart entry.

Remember Monday's journey from school friends to representing the UK on an international stage highlights their dedication and talent. Their fusion of country and pop, combined with strong vocal performances, continues to resonate with audiences, establishing them as a notable presence in the British music scene.
