New York (Top40 Charts/ Kin Official Website) - Rising Australian pop rock duo act The Kin are on tour with world famous musician Rod Stewart this summer in a concert series that spans 16 cities from July 24 - August 20, 2009. The tour shows will take place in the southern and western United States and Canada. The Kin are currently promoting their new album THE UPside, which is set to release this September on through Aletheia Entertainment.

The Kin just finished up the second leg of their Spring tour with pop star Ryan Cabrera in the US. Past national music tour partnerships include Josh Kelley, the Pat McGee Band and Blue October. The band is fronted by brothers Isaac and Thorry Koren, who recognized their music compatibility after writing and performing a song for their father's wedding. Their compassion for music and sharing of life experiences have captivated fans and media alike, including Billboard Magazine: "The Australian siblings have a radiant gift for songwriting and performing The Koren brothers' trump cards are their vocals and dual harmonies-unaffected and quietly passionate. Hearing their partnership is a humbling experience." Good Day New York described The Kin as "the most promising independent rock band in New York."

The Kin collaborated with the executive producer of their second album, Rise and Fall, Philip Stephano, to establish the independent record label Aletheia Entertainment, through which label they will launch their third full-length album THE UPside this on September 22, 2009. The band teamed up with acclaimed producer Jack Douglas (John Lennon, Aerosmith) to record THE UPside in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Mixing was done by Nic Hard (The Bravery).
