New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Riding high on critical acclaim for her debut album 'This is the Life' and fresh from a string of high-profile European festivals (T in the Park/Oxegen), Amy Macdonald will embark on her first US tour with performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago Philadelphia, New York and Boston this fall. For fans everywhere else, Macdonald will make her national TV debut on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" this September.

Declared an "an indie songbird with substance" by The Boston Globe, 21-year-old Scottish rocker Amy Macdonald delivers exuberant rootsy rock with a youthful perspective that fuses seamlessly with her uniquely rich and pervasive songwriting. In a four star review of 'This is the Life,' Blender Magazine noted, "If her message echoes the mid-'60s battle cries of Bob Dylan and the Who, her tunes, which exclude no one, are almost as light and catchy as ABBA's greatest hits."

Macdonald will showcase her "rich, resonant voice" (People), "infectious guitar hooks" (Paste) and "well-crafted pop/rock" (Billboard) with the backing of bandmates Joylon Dixon (electric guitar), Jamie Sefton (bass), Adam Faulkner (drums) and Shannon Harris (keyboards).

'This is the Life' has sold one million albums internationally and is now available in US stores on Decca.
