NEW YORK (Aerosmith/Saliva Website) - If practice makes perfect, the Aerosmith/Kiss tour should be faultless. After all, the bands have got nearly six decades of experience between them.

Thirty-two dates over 11 weeks are scheduled for the nationwide trek, which begins August 2 in Hartford, Connecticut, and runs through October 18 in San Bernardino, California, according to a spokesperson for tour promoters Clear Channel Entertainment.

Saliva, on the heels of their latest album, Back Into Your System, will serve as openers for the entire tour (see "Saliva Show Their Stinky Selves And Say, 'Kiss And Aerosmith, Dude!').

Aerosmith and Kiss began their recording careers in the early 70s. The Boston band will likely perform tunes from such classic albums as Toys in the Attic (1975), Rocks (1976) and Pump (1986), as well as such new songs as "Girls of Summer," from their latest greatest-hits collection.

Kiss helped forge the concept of concert theatrics with their use of pyrotechnics, costumes, makeup and stage props. The rock spectacles have sold more than 90 million records worldwide.
