SANTA MONICA, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Latin Recording Academy) - Four-time current nominee Ricky Martin will open the 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast with the wildly inventive performance collective Blue Man Group, it was announced today by The Latin Recording Academy. Also performing on the hottest night in Latin music are Andrea Bocelli and current nominees Ivy Queen, Jesse & Joy and Shaila Durcal. Newly added presenters include actor and six-time GRAMMY winner and Latin GRAMMY winner Ruben Blades, actress Kate del Castillo, singer/guitarist and current nominee Pau Dones (of Jarabe de Palo), actor/singer Sergio Goyri, singer Fanny Lu, actress Barbara Mori, and actress Nora Salinas. The 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will take place on Nov. 8 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be broadcast on the Univision Network from 8 � 11 p.m. (ET/PT). Additionally, Las Vegas shows "Folies Bergere," "HavanaNightShow" and "STOMP OUT LOUD" will be featured on the telecast, emphasizing the excitement and energy of this dynamic city.

GRAMMY winner, Latin GRAMMY winner and 2006 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Ricky Martin currently is nominated for Album Of The Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Album and Best Long Form Music Video for MTV Unplugged, and Record Of The Year for "Tu Recuerdo" (with La Mari De Chambao and Tommy Torres). Ivy Queen has a nod for Best Urban Music Album (Sentimiento). Jesse & Joy have two nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Album By A Duo Or Group With Vocal (Esta Es Mi Vida). Shaila Durcal is up for Best Female Pop Vocal Album (Recordando...).

Previously announced performers include current Latin GRAMMY nominees Pepe Aguilar, Miguel Bose, Calle 13, Conjunto Primavera, Juan Luis Guerra (who is also the 2007 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year), Intocable, La Quinta Estacion, Orishas and Laura Pausini, as well as Camila. Previously announced presenters feature tropical band and current nominees Aventura; actor Benjamin Bratt; GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner and current nominee Elvis Crespo; three-time GRAMMY winner and Latin GRAMMY winner Gloria Estefan; three-time Latin GRAMMY winners, two-time GRAMMY winners and 2007 Latin Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Los Tigres Del Norte; actor/singer/model Sergio Mayer; Latin hip-hop singer Mala Rodriguez; actress/singer Alessandra Rosaldo; actress/model Dayanara Torres; and actress Sofia Vergara.

As Las Vegas continues to set the standard for world-class entertainment, several of its well-known shows will be featured in segments throughout the 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast, spotlighting the energy and excitement of one of the world's foremost destination cities. Opening the telecast with Ricky Martin will be the unique and visually stunning troupe Blue Man Group. Best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment, they create a blissful party atmosphere at their live events which has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience. Also performing during the 8th Latin GRAMMYs are the legendary singing and dancing "Folies Bergere" showgirls of the Tropicana Resort & Casino, a timeless musical extravaganza that embodies the essence of classic Las Vegas entertainment; the highly original and energetic "HavanaNightShow," an incredible Vegas-based experience of Cuban and Latin performance art that combines the cultural riches, musical versatility and contemporary dance routines of young, modern Cuba; and the extraordinary new "STOMP OUT LOUD," a journey through sound that celebrates life through dance and percussion, from the creators of the international sensation "STOMP."

Preceding the Awards show telecast, Univision will present exclusive "Noche de Estrellas" ("Night of the Stars") coverage of the celebrity arrivals direct from the Latin GRAMMY Awards Green Carpet starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central). Hosted by "Primer Impacto" co-anchor Barbara Bermudo and popular Univision personality Giselle Blondet, "Noche de Estrellas" will feature live interviews and commentary on the stars and their fashions, and provide viewers an intimate and up close look at Latin music's most glamorous and gala event.

The 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will feature 49 categories and will be supported on radio via Univision Radio (the official Spanish-language radio network of the Latin GRAMMY Awards), and highlighted on the Internet by Univision Online (the official Spanish-language Web site of the Latin GRAMMY Awards) at www.univision.com (Uniclave Latin GRAMMY).
