NEW YORK (City Canyons Records)- When The John Wilde Group from Tiger Bay, Wales by way of Nashville appears at Manhattan's Red Lion on November 1 in the Seventh City Canyons showcase, audiences will not only get to see one of the world's best new rocking blues groups but a drummer, Ian Falgout, who has attained almost legendary status among his peers. The band, with Ian on board, has just recently signed a multi-album deal with City Canyons Records with their first album THE PEARL SESSIONS due in early 2006. Appearing with Ian and the John Wilde Group (headed by extraordinary vocalist and guitar player John Wilde with Marc Broomby on bass) will be such exciting independent artists as Jen Elliot and Bluestruck, Dark's Divas with Timothy Dark, and The Blisstones.

Born and raised in the swamps south of New Orleans, Ian Falgout's playing is a virtual "gumbo" of influences. In the process of an award winning school career to touring the world and recording with some of the industry's legends and modern artists, Ian has formed a style that is distinctly his own. He has gained international acclaim and full endorsements for his efforts and high profile status. When not on tour, he is active in the Los Angeles scene and resides in Santa Barbara, Ca.

In addition to the John Wilde Group, Ian has toured the world and recorded and/or played live with players and producers such as Darren Marc (formerly of Modern Day Hero), Uru (West African singing sensation), David Paich (Toto), Windsor (Warped Tour 2004), Nikki B. (actress/singer and host of TLC's "Perfect Proposal"), Mudflaps (seen on "On Air With Ryan Seacrest"), Christian Love (son of Mike Love of Beach Boys), Lynn Strait (Snot), Kevin Jones (Black Eyed Peas), Dave Fortman (Ugly Kid Joe and producer of Evanescence and Mudvayne), Nik Frost (EMI trip hop), Keith Foresy (producer of Billy Idol, Breakfast Club soundtrack), Nik Greene (Blue Murder, Jimmy Page, The Firm), Jack Ryland (3 Dog Night), Joey Catchcart (Nelson) and countless others in all genres of music.
Ian is endorsed by Taye drums, Ahead sticks, Aquarian Heads and HQ Percussion and Stagg cymbals. Ian has been featured countless times in Modern Drummer and DRUM magazines.

This is not the first time that City Canyons Records has attracted a drummer of near legendary status, having managed to sign Peter Ulrich, renown former drummer for Dead Can Dance. Peter has recently released his second solo album, ENTER THE MYSTERIUM under the City Canyons label.
"I guess you can say, to steal a line from the GoGos, that City Canyons has got the beat what with Ian and Peter and having such promising and acclaimed young drummers as Dawn McGrath (Jen Elliott and Bluestruck) and Finland's Tipi Andersson (Valerian) playing with some of our other signed groups. And Red Lion audiences will have a real treat with both the "old' master Ian Falgout and the young rising star Dawn McGrath appearing on the same bill,' said Trebor Lloyd, owner of City Canyons Records.
The Red Lion is located at 151 Bleecker Street in the West Village. The Seventh City Canyons Showcase commences at 7:30 p.m.
