Tallahassee, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Soulow Records) - Girls on Film and Soulow Records (www.soulow.com) announce that they will host a music remix contest and will begin accepting entries on October 20, 2008. The contest will be hosted at the official Girls on Film website (www.girlsonfilm.nu) and features 'Too Close', a track off their upcoming release.

Girls on Film are offering contestants an exclusive opportunity to slice, dice and re-mix their work. Submission guidelines and contest rules are currently posted at girlsonfilm.nu. The prize for the remix contest is the opportunity for the winner's remix to appear on the Girls' upcoming release, Mental Image (tentatively scheduled for January 2009), as well as an assortment of non-cash prizes.

"We can't wait to hear what our fans do with this track," said Girls on Film bassist, Kazhmir. "It's so exciting to hear your music turned into something completely new and different but still be recognizable as your work.'

'Too Close', the track made available by Girls on Film for this remix contest, was one of five songs recorded in July 2008 with legendary producer, Geza X. Geza is best known for his work on Meredith Brooks' hit, 'Bitch', as well as many early and influential LA punk bands including the Dead Kennedys, The Germs, Black Flag, and The Avengers. The Girls plan to release their CD as a Maxi EP in January 2009.

The contest will officially open on October 20th and will be accepting entries through November 8, 2008. More details regarding contest rules are available at girlsonfilm.nu. Girls on Film is one of Soulow Records' roster artists who enjoys 50-50 profit splitting and full rights to their music. GIRLS ON FILM are an all-female 4-piece whose music is one part lipstick synth-pop and one part icy cold new wave. Their fashion fueled combination of high-energy stage antics and Dancetronic Glam Wave - their signature sound - have earned the band a reputation as one of the hottest new wave acts out of the Southeast.

'We expect some really fantastic remix arrangements to come out of the contest," stated Tracy Horenbein, President of Soulow Records. 'We enjoy being involved in collaborative projects where various artists can come together to produce a new work of art.'
