Country Rock Artist Chris Bricks Set To Release "Rock & Roll"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Country rock recording artist, Chris Bricks, a newcomer to country music but no stranger to the music scene and streaming success stories, will celebrate the release of his country debut "Rock & Roll" in October. Penned and co-produced by the Nashville-based artist-producer, the track will be available worldwide via all major digital retail and streaming platforms on Friday, October 6, 2023. (The presale/pre-save event begins Friday, September 22, 2023; distribution by ONErpm.)

Poised to make his mark as a trendsetter appealing to audiences with an appetite for high-energy country music entertainment, Bricks tees up this pregame party anthem charged with stadium rock choruses, punctuated by "hell yeahs," nasty guitar licks, rockin' drum beats and polished with a modern contemporary finish. "Rock & Roll" highlights Bricks' knack for taking every listener on a fun-filled ride and illustrates the electric energy and neon excitement of the downtown Broadway Nashville scene.

"I'm a resident of downtown Nashville, and my place is located in the midst of Music City 'happenings.' The storyline was inspired by the capital of country music, where the nightlife shines, music rings out from every corner and party buses swim up every street," Bricks said. "I wanted to paint a picture of downtown Nashville's energy and nightlife; where tourists arrive to do what they do - rock out."
Chris Bricks welcomes "Rock & Roll" into his catalog, which exceeds 5 million on-demand streams.

Inspired by the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Paul Cauthen, James Brown, Morgan Wallen, The Black Keys, The Beatles, Elvis, ELO, Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails, TOOL and MØ, Chris' vocation is crafting melodies for a wide array of music fans to enjoy.

Combining theatricality and infectious enthusiasm with heartfelt sincerity, the country rock recording artist brings his high-energy performances to the stage with innovative and dramatic flair. Having toured nationally as pop rock act Plaid Brixx, he opened for groups such as Smash Mouth and Cute Is What We Aim For and secured a 30-date tour with modern pop-punk icons We The Kings. The Chris Bricks live show highlights soulful sing-along vocals, handstands, acrobatics as well as fan participation.

Chris formed his publishing company, Thousand Eyes Publishing when he was 16 years old and his indie record label, Plaid Robot Recordings, at 22. He is poised to release a waterfall series of recordings in 2024.

BACK STORY
Chris began his professional career in 2013 by forming Plaid Brixx, an alternative pop trio. Characterized by its evocative visuals brought to life by elaborate synth and electronic elements, and dramatic instrumental moments, the band was quickly dubbed as "electro Rascal Flatts" (Pop Passion).

Plaid Brixx, released its debut EP titled CHEMISTRY in early 2014. The compelling five-song rock recording project (penned and produced by Bricks himself) highlights arrangements decorated with synth and computerized drum beats that create a unique surging musical aesthetic. The tunes (described as "upbeat and a little haunting… spellbinding" -Amps And Green Screens) are connected by an underlying heartbreak theme embracing the emotional growth that comes from budding or crumbling romantic relationships. The project was recognized with a "Best Rock EP" nomination (Independent Music Awards).

Plaid Brixx followed with a self-titled album in 2016; PLAID BRIXX showcases collaborations with The Agency and other LA-based hit tunesmiths. Featured tracks such as "Don't Look Down" and "The Greener Side'' have garnered more than 1 million streams each. Plaid Brixx's catalog has amassed more than 5 million on-demand streams.
The visionary behind Plaid Brixx, Chris conceptualized, wrote, produced and designed sets & costumes for most of the band's overwhelmingly popular videos.

Chris has also produced songs and albums for other recording artists and has written, produced and scored for independent films, including NYU 48 Hour Film Festival award winner Rough Play.
