New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Critically acclaimed and Austin-based MIDDLESPOON, the brainchild and passion project of lead vocalist Alexander Beatz, continue to make waves with the release of their infectious and sleek new dance-inspired pop anthem "Bon Bon Boy." The official music video, which also releases today, perfectly complements the track's sensual tone and harmony filled chorus. Set amidst a neon backdrop with flashing club lights, the video displays a seductive dance party with full routines to match, capturing the essence of the song's sultry hook "I can't seem to get you off my mind."

"This song speaks to the anticipation we all get for the weekend after a long week" described Beatz. "Not just any time off, mind you. The weekend where we say "hell no" to the mundane and "hell yes" to the freedom of the night adorned in our best and brightest fits. The weekend you finally get to dance with that cutie you've been unable to get off your mind. Sensual, primal and fun driven, 'Bon Bon Boy' is a hypnotic adventure through the best clubbing weekend imaginable."

"Bon Bon Boy" marks the follow up to MIDDLESPOON's August release "Crush On U," which had fans grooving through the summer and was hailed by the likes of Mxdwn as an "overall fun; no-holds-barred song." Telling the familiar tale of a new summertime infatuation, the track and its music video were set across a beach, a classroom, and high school football game, revealing the classic school crush and young love story. Evoking pop-disco, R&B and house sensibilities, the track marked the first collaboration with MIDDLESPOON and renowned mixer Tony Hoffer(Fitz and The Tantrums, Beck, Chromeo, M83, Phoenix, and Foster the People) and mastering engineer Chris Gehringerof Sterling Sound (OneRepublic, Rosalia, Lil Nas X and Dua Lipa.)

MIDDLESPOON crafts a set of catchy, thoughtful pop songs with the swagger of hip-hop, the shimmer of electronic pop and the irresistible dance beat of disco. Their debut album "Brightside" catalyzes Alexander's optimistic point of view and philosophies on love. "Pop with Purpose", as he puts it. Each song on the record examines a type of love from Eros to Agape, Platonic to Familial. Even with the lofty concept, the songs are full of catchy hooks and slick production, ranging from the chops of Charlie Puth to the uptown bops of Bruno Mars. Suit and tied up like a Timberlake track or tapping the cosmic insanity of Jamiroquai, this album slinks through a variety of genres with the through line of a soulful melody.
