Buku Makes Dreams Come True With "Comic Boy"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Buku may make some epically hard bass music, but it turns out he has an impressively soft heart; his newest release "Comic Boy" is named after a young fan's earnest request "This kid brought me so much joy when he reached out. His love for music seemed so pure, and I felt it was reminiscent of me," says Buku of the letter he received, which was accompanied by a hand drawn comic featuring the producer. "I had the opportunity to light up someone's life, so I felt compelled to honor this young man's wishes." The new track will certainly not disappoint Buku's army of basshead fans-it is a supersonic, machine-inspired journey that, true to its name, will make listeners feel as though they've been transported into a video game to battle robotic villains. "Comic Boy" comes after Buku's lastest "Ready 4," and adds some heavy arsenal as well as goodwill creds to the Pittsburgh-based DJ's repertoire.

The world is quickly getting familiar with Buku; after his initial success with the fan favorite "Front to Back," Buku received the honor of the legendary Bassnectar remixing the track. His other releases include his "No Dramas" EP on Spinnin' Records, "Stop" with Tropkillaz on Mad Decent and his "Might Be" EP on Nest HQ. It's no surprise that Buku's talent seems unstoppable-his musical training on the drums dates back nineteen years, and he's never relented since. He's complimented his love of bass with other musical instruments, such as keyboard and guitar, and received formal training in music theory. His live sets have been earning him accolades around the world-he even went on an Australian tour last March and wowed crowds down under. Buku is off to a strong start and shows no signs of slowing down - he is currently on a North American tour through July, hitting up some of the U.S.'s most well-known clubs and festivals such as Sunset Music Festival and Something Wonderful. Catch Buku on tour if you can and look forward to his next release soon!
